Durante a Nona Sess\u00e3o de Negocia\u00e7\u00e3o do Instrumento Vinculante sobre Direitos Humanos e Empresas (<\/span>Legally Binding Instrument to Regulate, in International Human Rights Law, the Activities of Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises<\/span><\/i>), duas integrantes da Cl\u00ednica de Direitos Humanos da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (CdH\/UFMG) estiveram na sede do Conselho de Direitos Humanos na cidade de Genebra, na Su\u00ed\u00e7a.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Especificamente durante os dias 23 a 27 de outubro, Sophia Bastos, atual orientadora, e Thabata Pena, extensionista do Eixo Justi\u00e7a Socioambiental, Direitos Humanos e Empresas participaram das reuni\u00f5es e realizaram coment\u00e1rios para prote\u00e7\u00e3o e promo\u00e7\u00e3o dos direitos das crian\u00e7as neste instrumento junto \u00e0s seguintes organiza\u00e7\u00f5es parceiras: DKA \u00c1ustria (Dreik\u00f6nigsaktion – Hilfswerk der Katholischen Jungschar), Cl\u00ednica de Direitos Humanos do PPGD da PUC-PR, Child Rights Connect e ECPAT International.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Ninth Session of Negotiation of the Legally Binding Instrument to Regulate, in International Human Rights Law, the Activities of Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises, two members of the Human Rights Clinic of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (CdH\/UFMG) were at the headquarters of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

More specifically, from October 23 to 27, Sophia Bastos, the current mentor, and Thabata Pena, an intern from the Socio-Environmental Justice, Human Rights and Business project, attended meetings and made comments on the protection and promotion of children’s rights in this instrument with the following partner organizations: DKA Austria (Dreik\u00f6nigsaktion – Hilfswerk der Katholischen Jungschar), the Human Rights Clinic of the PPGD at PUC-PR, Child Rights Connect and ECPAT International.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special thanks are due to Ingrid Pintaritsch, Ute Mayrhofer, Herbert Wasserbauer, Marco Quattrola and other members of the non-governmental organization DKA Austria (Dreik\u00f6nigsaktion – Hilfswerk der Katholischen Jungschar) and CIDSE (Coop\u00e9ration Internationale pour le D\u00e9veloppement et la Solidarit\u00e9), who not only made it possible for our members to go to Geneva to take part in the session, but also offered all the necessary support before and during the week of negotiations.
